[b: [General review]] About 3 minutes walk from Hirai station. This is a long-established eel restaurant founded in 1954, operating out of a house a little away from the downtown area. This eel is a typical Kanto-style steamed eel. It's fluffy, soft and melts in your mouth. This type of eel is quite delicious (^_^) In addition to eel, there is also a wide variety of Seafood, including crab and fugu (fugu) at this time of year. The impression is that it is a restaurant suitable for banquets and memorial services. By the way, it seems to have no relation to the famous eel restaurant of the same name in Yotsugi. Do you need to be careful not to get it wrong? (^_^;) ----------------------------------------- Living in Hirai I had something to do with an acquaintance and came to Hirai Station. For lunch, we'll go to an eel restaurant in the area that we've been eyeing for a while. Our goal is to be a long-established store that was founded in 1954. It is located in a residential area a little far from the station. The building also looks like a detached house. The area around the entrance is designed in a Japanese style with a screen-like wall that cuts off the line of sight. It has a very tasteful interior (^_^) Inside the store, there are table seats in the front and a tatami room with tables and chairs in the back. The state of the kitchen is unknown. Are there two women in charge of the hall? I visited right after opening time, but it seemed that most of the places were already booked. Having said that, I managed to sneak into a corner of the parlor. The customer base includes people gathering with relatives and families with children. It seems like a restaurant used by people who seem to be locals for small gatherings. The menu includes classics such as eel jus and shirayaki, as well as a wide variety of Seafood dishes. They even sold filefish, monkfish liver, scallops, and shrimp potatoes. At this time of year, there were also fugu and crabs, and they actually seemed to be popular. In addition, there are several types of courses that are reasonably priced. On the other hand, I was the one who came to eat unagiju quickly, so I ordered unagiju safely. Since I was also drinking sake (500 yen for sake), I also added grilled liver as a side dish.By the way, I was supposed to check to see if grilled liver was available, but I waited quite a while, but in the end, there wasn't, so it never came out. The service person here is polite and has a low profile, but his mistakes were noticeable even from the sidelines, and he was busy from beginning to end (^_^;) [b:・Otoshi] When it comes to appetizers at an eel restaurant, it's like bone rice crackers. is the standard, but here it's Seafood based (in this case, it's boiled black shellfish). The colors of Japanese-style meal restaurant are strong. I think the black oyster shell itself is an ingredient rich in umami, but when you bite into it, a slightly sweet soup oozes out and the sake goes well. Because of this, various items were out of stock and I couldn't find the top. By the way, there is no par in this restaurant. The eel is beautifully browned and quite large. When you pick it up with your chopsticks, you can immediately tell that it's soft and creamy. Wonderful finish (^_^) The hard-cooked rice and eel come together harmoniously in your mouth. There are some small bones, but they don't bother me at all. This is delicious~ The sauce is smooth and slightly sweet. The eel has a strong presence, so it balances well with the sauce. Unajyu has a very unified feeling. ----------------------------------------- [b:[Finally]] Service Although I was concerned that the food was a little messy, the food was of very high quality and I was very satisfied. As expected, this is a long-established restaurant (^_^) Not only is the eel delicious, but other dishes are also quite popular. It seems like it will show its true value even more when used for banquets. Today's bill ends at 5,390 yen. Thank you for the meal.
