Osteria C2 is an Italian Cuisine restaurant located in a back alley in Yutenji. It is a sister restaurant of the Italian Cuisine restaurant Osteria C3. The main restaurant is a hidden Italian Cuisine restaurant located underground in a residential area of Komazawa University. The Italian Restaurants is located on the right hand side after turning left down a narrow alley like a cat's path. Behind the wooden door is a Japanese-modern space that looks like a stylishly renovated old house. The owner and chef is Mr. Okada, who trained at Trattoria Incontro Ginza and Da Noi Takanawa before going independent. In October 2013, he opened [Osteria C3] with the concept of casual and delicious Italian Cuisine. The second store, [Osteria C2], opened in April 2018. The lunch menu includes terrine plate lunch, warm vegetable lunch, chef's recommended lunch course, gratin lunch, pasta lunch A-C, charcoal grill lunch A-C, etc. Salad, focaccia, and drink are included. Pasta was "Kamaage Shirasu, Green Laver, Zucchini with Peperoncino", and grilled dishes were "Grilled Red Sea Bream with Lemon Sauce" and "Grilled Sangen Pork Shoulder Loin with Herbs and Green Sauce". I ordered "Gratin Lunch". Today's dish is "Chicken and Mushroom Cheese Macaroni Gratin". [Appetizer] "Salad" Drizzled with creamy dressing. [Bread] "Focaccia" Rebaked and warm, with a crispy texture on the outside and fluffy crumbs. [Main] "Chicken and Mushroom Cheese Macaroni Gratin" Topped with plenty of Edam cheese, this gratin is baked in the oven until it melts in your mouth. I didn't ask for a large portion, but it was plenty big enough. The aroma of hot fromage. The chicken, fried onions, shimeji mushrooms, and macaroni are twisted fries. When you scoop up the sauce with a spoon, it's light like stew, but when you eat it, it has a gentle richness. The cheese was well-grilled and had a good flavor, making the gratin taste even richer. There was a slight sourness, so perhaps they used sour cream, but the sweetness of the onions made for a nice balance. [After-meal drink] "I Stay" The familiar flavor warmed me up and made me feel happy. Some of the guests who arrived later also ordered gratin. After noon, more and more families arrived. There seemed to be guest rooms on the second floor, so I was drawn in. I was able to see the chef cooking from the counter where I was, and I was impressed by how skillful he was. Since it's so close to the station, I'll come again.
