Tonight, before the total lunar eclipse, we went to Washoku Japanese-style meal Yu in Soshigaya Okura for dinner. Apparently there was a course as well, but I overlooked it because I ordered a single item as soon as I saw "Today's Recommendations". As expected, seasonal items first! Grilled and live conger conger frosting, steamed conger conger and matsutake mushrooms in a clay pot, tempura platter of conger conger and matsutake mushrooms, grilled new saury and the expensive item, and lighter options include mushroom tofu fried soup and chrysanthemum bean paste, octopus, pear, and mushrooms. I ordered a green salad. Everything was well-cooked and brought out the flavors of the ingredients, making it delicious. In particular, when the matsutake Tempura was served, the aroma of matsutake wafted up and whetted my appetite. The saury looks thin in the photo, but it was actually full of meat and very edible. I was aiming for something expensive, so I ended up paying more than 8,000 yen, but I was completely satisfied. I was concerned about the slowness in serving the dishes due to the total lunar eclipse, but normally this is tolerable. There were many other dishes that I wanted to try (especially the conger eel in a clay pot) that I will definitely come back to. There are many Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) along the Odakyu line that have been rated as ``Will visit again'', but I felt that their selection of ingredients and dishes were outstanding. I took a photo of the first total lunar eclipse in four years in front of the store after leaving the store.
