I went there for lunch after hearing that they will start selling "Kentee Karaage", which reproduces the taste of fried chicken from Kentee's Kitchen in Zamami, Okinawa Prefecture, from June 21, 2012. Karaage It is the first restaurant to reproduce the taste of Kentee's Karaage, which has won the Grand Prix's highest gold award. I looked at the lunch menu, and although there was a Karaage set meal, there was no mention of Kentee Karaage anywhere. What's that? I thought it was from today. I asked the owner and was relieved to hear that they can also offer Kentee Karaage. I ordered the Karaage set meal and Seafood Bowl without incident, and thought that the beer ban would be lifted from today, so I ordered them together, but was told that the alcohol had not arrived yet. I was very disappointed, but there was nothing I could do. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. Kentee's Karaage is a very ordinary looking fried chicken. I took a bite and was surprised. The taste was very light. I have known, or rather, recent Karaage fried foods are thick and rich in garlic, so this was the first time for me to try the light soy sauce based fried food. The fried chicken was crispy, crunchy, juicy and delicious. I found it to be delicious and I liked it, but I think it is a fried dish that is very different for different tastes. If you like garlic-based, thick classic Karaage may not be enough for you. I used mayonnaise as a flavor enhancer, but I think it is just right with mayonnaise. The side dishes, kinpira gobo (burdock root) and kombu tsukudani (tsukudani boiled kelp), are both delicious with a gentle sweet taste. The miso soup was a combination of ingredients that could have been made in two different ways, but there was plenty of it. The amount of rice was small, but you can have another serving for 100 yen. And since the name of the restaurant is "Fish Man," I ordered one more Seafood Bowl. There were 9 kinds of ingredients on it. I was given a small portion and it was very tasty. The lunch menu at Uojin has a wide variety of dishes and is inexpensive, ranging from 500 yen to 870 yen. The portions are large, tasty, and cost-effective. The food was delicious, but it was just a shame that beer was not available.
