I went to a restaurant near Machida Station where I could eat chicken with bones, a specialty of Kagawa Prefecture. Irodoriya is located on the 1st floor of the APA Hotel, behind the Machida Forum Building, a few minutes walk from the terminal exit of JR Machida Station. Lunch, bone-in chicken set meal 976 yen. The chicken with bones is served with the standard raw cabbage, rice, miso soup, Small dish dishes, and pickles. When I ordered, I was told that it would take about 20 minutes to grill the bone-in chicken, but when I went there, it was empty, so it came out in about 15 minutes. As the name suggests, bone-in chicken is a bit difficult to eat because it is made with bone-in thigh meat, but you can eat it by cutting it with the scissors provided. It's spicy and fragrant. The flavor is quite strong and goes well with the rice. It was the first time I had boned chicken on my trip to Shikoku, and I was so happy to be able to eat it in my hometown of Tokyo. There are various other menu items available at lunchtime, but they are all under 1,000 yen, and you can also use the drink bar at no additional charge.
