Toyama boasts many fresh seafood joints. There are more than a handful conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Toyama that are well-loved, and BANYANOSUSHI is one of them. All fish are fresh from Toyama Bay, so the fish meat is fresh and firm. You might want to try Toyama delicacies like Yellowtail (Fukuragi, Kanburi), Firefly squid (Hotaru Ika)... or even some rarities like Whale meat (Kujira). Be sure to check the "in-season" fish for the freshest during the month that you visit. My favorites include Horse Mackerel (Aji), Sea Bream (Tai), Sea Urchin (Uni), Crab (Kani), Milt (Shirako), Salmon Roe (Ikura)... Banya's sushi is one of the beloved Conveyor belt sushi in Toyama Prefecture. Since it is Toyama Bay, the fish is fresh no matter what you eat. If you're in Toyama, you'd better order the cold and firefly squid. The whales were also interesting. I like horse mackerel, sea bream, sea urchin, crab, milt, and salmon roe.
