和歌山市の歓楽街：アロチの北西の隅あたりに位置する店。
店のPR文には『麺居酒屋』と説明されている。たしかに居酒屋兼ラーメン屋みたいな店である。
夜だけの営業で、しかも開店時刻が午後7時と遅め。
そのため午後5時ごろに飲み始めることが多い私には、1軒目にこの店を使うことが難しく、いきおい2軒目以降での利用となる。
1～2軒回った後の「〆」としてこの店を訪問し、適当なアテをつまみながら軽く飲みなおし、最後に麺を食べるというのが、いつもの利用パターンである。

これまで4～5回はお邪魔しているが、品切れだった1回を除いて必ず食べているのが「豚なんこつ」である。
柔らかく煮た豚の軟骨に刻みネギと香辛料を載せたような料理。この軟骨の食感が素晴らしい。
「コリコリ」というほど硬くなく、どちらかというと「プリプリ」に近いような食感だろうか。
味付けも良い。文章でうまく表現できないけれど、とにかくコレは癖になる旨さ。ビールとの相性も抜群である。
豚なんこつ以外の料理、例えば「せせりとニラの炒めもの」や「水ぎょうざ」等もなかなか美味しかった。

さて、豚なんこつ等をアテにビールや日本酒を飲んだ後は〆のラーメンである。
ラーメンと言っても、この店には「辛麺」しかない。
ただし、麺は 韓国麺・黄そば・うどん・たまご麺・博多麺 のいずれかを選べる。
私はいつも韓国麺を選んでいる。これはいわゆる「韓国風冷麺」でよく見かけるゴムみたいに弾力の強い麺だけど、ここのスープによく合うようだ。
スープの辛さも選べる。私は「5から」あたりを選ぶことが多い。この程度なら個人的には全然辛いと思わないけれど、スープの旨みを味わうにはこの程度に抑えておくのが良さそう。
辛麺にはご飯が付いており、麺を食べ終えたらスープにご飯を投入して「おじや」にする。これがまた旨い。

いつもかなり酔いが回り、しかも満腹に近いような状態で来るので、色々な種類の料理を食べられないのは残念だ。
次回はこの店を1軒目にしようか・・・しかし開店が午後7時だからなぁ・・・
