先日は新山口で宿泊することになりました。夕食はちょっと豪華にするかなと思い、こちらのお店に訪れてみました。川の傍に佇む外観、橋を渡って入店する為若干の高級感が漂いますが、入店するとそんなことは無く柔らかい雰囲気です。観光客・常連さん問わずで、個人客・団体客入り乱れる様子を見る限り、寿司店というよりは寿司がメインの比較的リーズナブルな和食割烹店といった感じです。
一月毎に組み立てられる、季節の素材を積極的に取り入れたコースである≪十月のご馳走≫2500円を注文してみました。
・つきだし5種(柿バター、小エビのから揚げ、むかご串、合鴨＆栗煮、京風焼き茄子)
・小鉢(マグロのやまかけ)
・蒸し物(茄子と冬瓜の銀あんかけ)
・天ぷら盛り合わせ(茄子、舞茸etc)
・寿司盛り合わせ(マグロ、エビ，アジ、アナゴ、銀鮭、鯛)
・土瓶蒸し(松茸、しめじetc)
・デザート(柿、メロン)
・コーヒー
といった内容。一つ一つ凄く丁寧な仕事振りで、素材本来の風味を生かした優しい味付け。特に印象に残ったのはつきだしの焼き茄子と土瓶蒸しです。
焼き茄子は、トロ甘の極み。どんぶり満タンでも食べられそうなくらい好きな味です。
土瓶蒸しの出汁が、これまた何とも言えない薄味の旨口。料理と一緒に日本酒もちびちびやってたんですが、この出汁がめちゃめちゃ合うんです。日本酒と出汁、交互に飲んでしまうのが止まりません。
2500円でお腹一杯、非常に美味しく頂くことが出来ました。
