山口県宇部新川駅から徒歩10分のところにある、割烹明徳さん。入る前からすごい雰囲気のお店です。今回はカウンターを貸し切って食べました。目の前で作っていく料理が圧巻。色々と食材を見せてくれて作ってくれます。途中の箸休めの蛤のスープ。のどぐろの焼き物。イカの海苔巻き。一つ一つが凄すぎてびっくりでした。ガリもすごく本当に漬け込んだガリを角切りに切って食べるのですが、今までに食べたことのない食感。梨の食感に似ています。鯨のスープとさえずりなどを焼いたもの。今まで鯨はそんなに美味しくないと思っていたのですが、ここの鯨は全然違いました。パンフレットがあり読んでいると、お店の前の駐車場は運転手さん用のお迎えの駐車スペースみたいです。政治家さんなどいろいろな偉いさんがいるみたいです。ほんとにおいしかったお店でした。ここのお料理を東京で食べるとびっくりする位の値段になると思いますが、山口県だったので、リーズナブルでした。
