The owner and chef, Ms. Shibuya, a former ballerina who honed her skills at a three-star Restaurants in France, serves casual French cuisine using carefully selected ingredients from Akita Prefecture, Japan, and Europe. The restaurant's name, "Sous-sus," is a ballet term meaning "downward and upward," and it seems to have been named with the hope that the restaurant will take root at the bottom and continue to grow upward. Lunch course 3,400 yen [Hors d'oeuvre 1] Marinated Sakuramasu from Akita Prefecture. Accompanied by fruits such as oranges, beets, and pomelo. [Hors d'oeuvre 2] Cold green asparagus potage with smoked cream. [Main dish] Chestnut pork from the Galicia region of Spain. [Dessert] Pistachio Ice cream and chocolate. [Coffee or tea] The food is beautiful throughout. Many restaurants only focus on appearance, but Sous-sus is also delicious. What surprised me was that it was far more delicious than restaurants in Tokyo that charge 30,000 yen. I can say with confidence that you will never find a course of this quality for 3,400 yen anywhere in Japan. It's worth trying to make a reservation over the phone in a fierce battle and coming from outside the prefecture. I would be happy to go back again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.
