A delicacy of the utmost freshness! Enjoy the Goto mackerel, which is in season now, to your heart's content.
Soon after it opened, the word "mackerel cuisine = Kiharu" became established. Now, half of the customers are from outside the prefecture, and it has become a popular restaurant with a high reputation |
I visited this restaurant on a weekday evening during Golden Week, as part of a tour of the 100 famous restaurants, by making a reservation by phone in advance. Inside, there are 28 seats, and it is an Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) restaurant where you can enjoy Hakata's specialty sesame mackerel. Here, I ordered "sesame mackerel," "seared mackerel sashimi," "asparagus stir-fried with sake kasu butter," "draft beer," and "shochu soda." First of all, the "sesame mackerel" with the restaurant's signature sesame and special sauce was not as good as I expected, and it had less impact than I thought, and I preferred the "seared mackerel sashimi." The other dish, "asparagus stir-fried with sake kasu butter," was strongly seasoned and went well with sake. The price range of the dishes was a little high overall. There were many other dishes, so I will try them next time. Thank you for the meal!
