Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1987 and raised in Nara Prefecture. After graduating from high school, he worked at a Japanese-style meal restaurant in Tokyo, Osaka, and Wakayama for 13 years and opened Gokan Uogin at the age of 32. We are dedicated to perfecting Japanese Cuisine without any compromise, all for the sake of our customers' smiles. Michelin 2022/2023 Nara 1 star awarded
Food Dishes that touch your five senses with a lively feel
When you open the door, a fine gentleman will be waiting for you. All the dishes are freshly prepared and have a lively feel, and the grilled dishes are made using Tosa Bincho charcoal. The food is carefully grilled while you enjoy the sound of fat dripping onto the charcoal and the aroma. To finish off the meal, we have Kamado rice cooked by Okudosan. We use carefully selected Hinohikari rice from Nara, and even the steam as it cooks is considered a treat. Freshly harvested local Yamato vegetables and seasonal natural seafood. The one-of-a-kind dishes are all carefully selected by personally visiting them.

There is a large window cut out in front of the 6m long solid wood counter. Enjoy the cherry blossoms in spring, the fresh greenery in summer, the red leaves in autumn, and the tranquility of winter while enjoying your meal. You can spend a blissful moment watching the craftsmanship of skilled craftsmen with a carefully selected drink in hand.
