For dinner on the second day of our trip to Niigata, we went to the stylish Japanese restaurant "Sakasai Iki" near Tsubame-Sanjo Station. We made a reservation just in case. The restaurant has a stylish exterior and a lovely interior. It seems to be run by a married couple, but the husband is the one doing the cooking! First, we toasted with draft beer (my wife) and ginger ale (me)! Tonight we had a la carte... ●Appetizers Four types of dishes: egg roll, squid and chrysanthemum greens, monkfish liver, and takiasawase. Just by eating this, I was sure that this restaurant was delicious! ●Sashimi ・Live-killed flounder from Teradomari ・Amaebi from Teradomari I wasn't sure how much there was, but it was as big as you can see in the photo, and I was surprised. Of course, it was incredibly delicious! ●Grilled Oyster grilled with garlic butter. I wanted to lick the sauce (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) ● Deep Fried food scallops, onions and mitsuba tempura. The scallops were very plump and tender. ● We ordered shrimp shinjo, which is said to be a specialty of Fried food. It was also very tasty with plenty of shrimp! ● Rice Onigiri (plum for me, salmon for my wife) We were very satisfied with the delicious rice and the generous amount of ingredients! Finally, we had some tea and dinner was over! The price of each dish was a little high, but considering the quantity and content, it was a great deal, and above all, everything was delicious and left us with a sigh of relief (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) The only negative point is that smoking is allowed (there was no one smoking that day).
