A fish and sake restaurant with promising future prospects
The previous evening, I visited this restaurant to celebrate my senior's promotion, and enjoyed fresh fish dishes delivered directly from Hachinohe and all-you-can-drink sake. If I remember correctly, the brand of sake was Mutsu Otokoyama. We had a fruity but sharp drink and chatted in a beautiful private room. However, because of the occasion, I was not able to take photos of the food, so I decided to try again the next day at noon. On the way, I was joined by a colleague who happened to be in the elevator with me. There is an underground passage to the Palace Building, but it is a little difficult to find, so I hurried through the light rain. Around 11:30, Restaurants area on the first basement floor of the Palace Building was not very crowded. I was able to enter this restaurant right away. When I asked about the popular menu, I was told that the chirashi Sushi dish was Bakudan, and the set meal dish was Aji-saba, and I suddenly wanted to eat fried horse mackerel, so I chose the latter. The Aji-saba was a luxurious set of salt-grilled Hachinohe offshore mackerel and fried horse mackerel. The salt-grilled one was probably overnight dried. The mackerel's flavor was concentrated, but the flesh was firm and tough, so I thought it might not be the best place to go if you're in a hurry. The fried horse mackerel was thick and crispy. It felt fresh and was delicious without the metallic taste that is common with fried horse mackerel. The accompaniments were wakame seaweed, grated yam, Japanese glass noodles, salad, pickles, rice and miso soup. It wasn't bad, but it didn't leave a particularly strong impression. Maybe the restaurant puts more effort into the evening. Still, it's right in the middle of the office district, and although it's a bit pricey, I'd like to remember it as a place where you can casually eat delicious fish dishes for lunch. It would be nice if they served boiled fish like Guan, a restaurant serving Kishu Sankai cuisine.

後輩を連れてランチに行くことに。何を食べようか、魚定食の白銀屋ですかね、ちょっと混んでるかな、という会話の後、そういうことなら、魚の美味しいきんきが良いなと急に思いつき、3人急ぎ足で向かう。
時間は11:40頃、すぐに店内に案内されゆったりした半個室の席へ。何にしようか逡巡するも、以前訪れた時と同じ、アジフライと八戸前沖さばの定食を注文。大きく肉厚でふんわりとした食感のアジフライをまた食べたいと思ったからだが、今回も期待に違わず美味しくいただくことが出来た。ひじき、とろろ、めかぶ、小鉢が3つ付いてくるのも嬉しい。別の機会に青森を訪れた際、ホテルの朝食でやはり同じような形で、とろろとめかぶが出てきたことがあり、付け合わせとしてよく使われるのかなとも思った。お値段は確か1,200円くらい、大手町オフィス中心に位置するお店としては、ゆったりした半個室でランチを楽しめる点も勘案すると、コスパは悪くない。パレスホテルの地下という立地も意外と穴場だな。後輩たちもまた利用してみたいと言っていた。肩肘張らないランチから、ちょっとした会食まで、今後も利用させていただくことになりそうだ。
