新宿の喧騒から逃れて、ゆっくり呑む店
新宿で他に行く予定の店で予約が取れず、ネットで調べていたら、10〜8年前に行っていたこの店の評判を目にし、電話予約して行きました。
新宿西口に近い飲み屋で賑わう一角の地下にあるお店。階段を降りて木の扉を開けると、落ち着いた地下室のような空間が広がります。開店時(2002年、約21年前)は隠れ家風のお店全盛期で、このお店も2名4名の半個室の予約が早めに埋まる人気店でした。
久々に訪問すると、20時前で給料日の翌日と言う事もあり、入り口付近の4名席は全部埋まっており、グループ客の声が賑わう居酒屋の雰囲気。ちょっと変わったなぁ、と感じつつ、通されたのはカウンター席。
カウンターは8席の並びを2席+2席+2席に区切り間の席はアクリル板で仕切、席は使えなくする工夫、隣の会話を気にせずデートできる良心的な仕様になっていました。席を潰すのはお客様目線に立っている証拠ですね。
今日は久々なので、一番人気という山吹コースを予約。
お料理7品にプレミアム飲み放題2時間で1名5,800円(税込)という、かなりお得な気がしました。アラカルトを何品か頼むつもりで、最初からメニューをお願いしました。店が忙しい時間帯で店員さんも忙しそうで、席に着いて3〜4分待たされましたが、最初のお料理とメニューが運ばれて来て、まずは生ビールを注文。
飲み放題メニューは頂きましたが、山吹コースの詳細が書かれたお品書きが無く、食べログのメニュー欄で確認しなければダメだったのは減点ですね。評判のしゃぶしゃぶは予約しないと駄目だそうで断念し、まずはコース料理を頂き、最後に追加する事にしました。

どれも料理としては合格点の旨さ、確かに量は少なめですが、お酒の肴としてなら、さらにこの料金(税別なら5250円、飲み放題を2,000円と考えるとお料理は3250円)なら納得です。
お酒も、ビール、焼酎、日本酒、サワー、果実酒、カクテル、ソフトドリンクと沢山用意さる、プレミアム飲み放題と云うだけに日本酒が6銘柄、カクテルが20種類以上頼めます。
一つ残念なのはハイボールにサントリーの角がない事。連れもお隣のカップルも残念がっていました。
お酒も飲んで、今日は軽めで止めておくか、と追加オーダーは1品のみ

平気でチャージ、お通し、サービス料取る店、メニューは消費税別表記に慣れている私としては、町中華並の良心的さに感心です。
10月半ば過ぎから、氷見(能登)の寒ぶりのしゃぶしゃぶがメニューに加わると確認したので、予約を入れて帰りました。
次回が楽しみです。(角ハイボールが無いのは連れに申し訳ないですが)

冬になると鍋が食べたい、特に氷見の寒鰤のしゃぶしゃぶ鍋は毎年食べる。
今回のぶりは北海道から空輸らしいが、脂が乗って非常に美味しかった。
12月は忘年会シーズンでなかなか予約が取れず、今回は16:30〜18:30で予約した。「東京都 ぶりしゃぶ」で検索すると、ベスト3にこのお店が上がる程評判の店だが、写真見て頂きたいが、シンプルにぶりが美味しい。1人前7切を野菜と共にペロリと食べて、追加で注文した程旨い店。
ぶりしゃぶ以外にも、蟹味噌、豚角煮もお造り5点盛(特に私は炙りのどくろ)も美味かった。ぶりしゃぶでお腹がいっぱいになっても、豚角煮とだいこんの煮物はペロリと頂いた。
今回はコースではなく、食べたいものを当日チョイスしたが、ハズレは無い。このお店の料理は居酒屋レベルでは無い。創作和食の料理店の範疇に入れても、お料理の味と見た目とコスパの総合評価はかなり高い(4.2以上)と思います。
ひとつだけ残念だったのは、最初にキンキンに冷えたextra cold beerを注文したのに、出て来たのは普通のいや若干ぬるめの生ビールだった事。私の注文ミスかな？とそのまま黙って頂いたが、注文伝票にはエキストラコールドと記入されており、店員のミスでした。前回も飲み物出すのに時間かかり過ぎが気になったが、今回も追加の飲み物が出るまで10分以上かかり、気になった。何が優先順位高い仕事かを判断できるように、人手不足でも店員教育は大事だと思う。
上記の不満が有っても、この店のサービスは良い。電話予約に爽やかに対応してくれたり、今回もお造りのサービスがあったり、長くお付き合いしたい良い店だ。
1月になったら、また必ず行きます。
