仕事の合間にソロランチ。池袋駅西口から徒歩10分ほど、劇場通り沿いの雑居ビル1Fの麺処。「カレーは飲み物。」さん系列で「なぜ蕎麦にラー油を入れるのか。」の黄色い看板が目印のお店。
とある金曜日。「麺屋 Hulu-lu」さんを目指すも未だ5人の列があり断念。麺気分だったので近隣の麺類BM店を検索してこちらへ。13:50到着、キャパ20席ほどのところに先客6名。
まずは入口脇の券売機でメニュー選び。肉そばが基本だが、ラーメン屋さんにフラれた流れでなんとなくチャーシュー中華そば1180円をチョイスしテーブル席へ。
空いてるからスピード着丼なのかと思いきや意外と時間かかるのね。15分程で着丼。
トッピングされてるのは薄いバラチャー、ネギ、メンマ、玉葱みじん切り、のり、なると、背脂チックな天かすと見た目は完全に中華そばだが具をよけて麺を引っ張りだすと完全につるつるとした太麺の田舎そば。スープは甘めで、後味に魚粉がふわりと香る。違和感は感じつつも全体として美味しくいただいた。
尤も、唯一生玉ねぎの苦味だけは甘いつゆと相性イマイチな印象。やはり当店ではオーソドックスな肉そばにたくさんラー油をぶっかけて頂くのが王道か。
