Two tare cutlets and grated topping
Today I had lunch with people from work. While I recommend the vegetable cutlet bowl for first-time visitors, I heard that the sauce cutlet with grated grated topping is delicious, so I ordered the sauce cutlet double bowl for 700 yen and the oroshi for 100 yen. There is quite a lot of grated daikon radish, and it is served with the sauce already on the cutlet. The light and spicy grated daikon radish and the sweet and spicy sauce that soaked into the cutlet go well together and go well with the rice. I had a good lunch time today as well. Daikon radish contains diastase Other digestive enzymes that break down starch, but the enzymes break down when heated, so it seems best to eat it raw. Also, if you wait too long to grate it, the vitamin C will be lost, so it is important to grate it right beforehand or freeze it immediately after grating it to maintain its nutritional value.
Katsudon is also health conscious.
A wine Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) located across from Shiba High School. It seems like the restaurant sells Ajillo and Steak, but for lunch they mainly serve tarekatsudon. Enter the store and buy a meal ticket from the ticket vending machine on the left side of the entrance. It seems like you can choose the number of cutlets, but since I'm on a diet, I minimized the number of cutlets and chose the tare cutlet vegetable bowl so I could get some vegetables as well. The food is served shortly after ordering. There's shredded cabbage on top of the rice, and on top of that are two cutlets, cherry tomatoes, some mushrooms, and vegetable fritto (eggplant, eringi, baby corn, broccoli). The cutlet was well soaked in the sweet and spicy sauce, and the pork was chewy and delicious, but the vegetable frites were even more delicious. I was especially surprised at how sweet the broccoli and baby corn could be just by frying them, and when combined with the sauce, the rice went well. It turned out so well that I thought it could be made into a bowl with just the vegetable frites without meat. We can also look forward to the evening menu.

久々にタレカツ丼が食べたくなり来店した筈だが、店先の本日の限定ランチ「牛汁」の文字に目を奪われてしまう。豚汁風牛肉の味噌煮込み、との説明だがどんな料理か想像ができず、つい好奇心をそそられて注文してしまった…。
出てきた牛汁とやらは、お椀になみなみ入った赤茶色のスープ。味見してみるとフルーティな甘い味がするばかりで、余り味噌の風味を感じられない洋食寄りの味付け。
具は玉ねぎ、にんじんと牛肉。牛肉と言っても豚汁に入ってるような薄切り肉ではなく、スネ肉やロースと思しき赤身肉の塊がゴロゴロ泳いでいて思いの外贅沢な出来。
思うに、この牛肉は元々ワイン煮込みか何かなのだろう。ワインでよく煮込んだ牛肉に、焦茶になるまで炒めた玉ねぎを加えたのだとすれば、この甘さも合点が行く。
本日のランチはその煮込みを転用し、隠し味程度に味噌を加えたのだろう、豚汁とは似てもにつかぬ牛汁もとい洋風牛肉煮込みは大変味わい深く、良い意味で期待を裏切られる逸品だった。
