Sushi Matsumoto is located near Ochanomizu Station, a restaurant frequented by gourmets. Although it is conveniently located just 3 minutes walk from the station, the tranquil entrance and door made of cypress create a dignified atmosphere that will make you forget the hustle and bustle of the city. When you step into the restaurant with anticipation and a pleasant sense of nervousness, you will be greeted by a refreshing counter seat made of plain wood. Only the selection course is served. The course begins with a rich clam soup that will soothe your soul. Afterwards, there was a series of witty snacks, including deep-fried Nebuto, a specialty of Onomichi, steamed egg custard topped with pickled plums, and a comparison of two types of sea urchin (purple sea urchin from Aomori and bafun sea urchin from Hokkaido wrapped in bigfin squid), and more. Introducing Edomae Nigiri. Sushi Matsumoto's unique taste is made by sprinkling homemade salt on the tendrils of fatty tuna.
