Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture is the hometown of Kenji Miyazawa. Ishidoriya, Iwate is the hometown of the Nanbu Toji. Kawamura Shuzo, located there, is a junmai sake brewed with passion and individuality by the fourth-generation brewer, Naotaka Kawamura. All of the sake is made using Kyokai No. 7 yeast. The taste changes depending on the type of sake rice used, so sake tasting is also popular.

Carefully selected by the owner! There are many sakes that can only be drunk here. All of our sake is Junmai sake. Junmai sake is made from only rice, koji, and water. It is a passionate drink made by brewers all over Japan, utilizing the traditions of sake brewing and the latest technology. Goshu stocks Junmai sake from reliable and unique brewers.

Sake is all about temperature

Junmai sake is the best sake to drink with meals, and unfiltered unpasteurized sake should be stored in the refrigerator. Pasteurized sake (heat-treated sake) should be stored at room temperature. Junmai sake has a very wide range of flavors, and there are many varieties, including sake with a strong rice flavor, fragrant sake, mild sake, sour sake, and aged sake reminiscent of Shaoxing wine. When warmed, the flavor is exceptional depending on the temperature. All sakes can be warmed, so please feel free to ask.
