``Fukagawa Meshi'' has been a popular food for Fukagawa fishermen since ancient times. I hear that ``Fukagawa Meshi'' at that time was mainly bukkake rice with miso soup of clams poured over rice. Additionally, takikomigohan (takikomigohan), in which rice and clams are cooked together, is now common.

At Monzenjaya, we would like to offer "Fukagawa Asari Meshi", which has been popular in this area, more than just a Japanese Cuisine dish, but as an even more delicious and delicate dish. It was born as ``Fukagawa clam steaming basket rice'', which is steamed in a ``steam basket'' using the ``cooking technique''.

We use fresh clams every day and cook them with green onions and fried tofu to keep them plump and flavorful. Store it in a cool, dark place and wait for it to ripen. The rice is cooked with high-quality kelp in the soup stock, and the soup contains extract from the clams we use at our restaurant. At our restaurant, after receiving a customer's order, we place the rice in a steamer basket, place the aged clams on top, and steam it all at once in a high-temperature, high-pressure steamer. Because the clams are steamed in a sealed container with high-temperature steam for a short period of time, the clams do not become hard, giving them a richer flavor that blends smoothly with the rice. This is the cooking technique and the power of steaming. Since our founding, we have been loved by everyone as a unique ``Fukagawa clam steamed rice'' that can only be tasted at Monzenjaya, which is different from bukkake rice or takikomi rice. It is wrapped in a "bamboo steamer" container with good ventilation. Warm it up in the microwave when ready to eat.
