Enjoy local Tosa sake and fatty bonito from Okuma! You can also enjoy popular local fish and tuna in a sunken kotatsu or in a private room.
As a store directly managed by a fishery company in Minato Market, we can provide high-quality seafood, as well as Tosa ingredients and local dishes in every season. At Uoto Okuma, we focus particular |
A 5-minute walk from Hasuikecho-dori Station is the seasonal restaurant "Uogashira Daikuma". The restaurant is directly managed by Kochi's fishery company "Okuma Co., Ltd.", so you can enjoy a variety of dishes including fresh seafood from Kochi. On the day, I ordered the ala carte menu that caught my eye. ・Toro bonito grilled cut (salt-seared) ・Bonito yukke style ・Saezuri vinegar miso ・Dorome vinegar If you come to Kochi, you can't leave out bonito! First of all, the fatty bonito salt cut (salt-seared) was so delicious that I was speechless, and it made all the bonito I had eaten so far seem pale in comparison. I wonder what would happen if I ate it in season...Is real bonito this delicious? Really delicious bonito should be eaten with salt! That's it. The bonito yukke is also delicious, as it uses real bonito. The egg gently wraps the bonito, and the different taste from sear makes you want to drink beer. This is also good. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for the Saezuri Vinegar Miso, but it was delicious! It has a unique texture that is soft and squishy, and the flavor is well concentrated. And this vinegar miso is also good. There is almost no tartness from the vinegar. The "Dorome" in Dorome Vinegar is a Kochi dialect word that means "young sardines" and raw whitebait. I ate this "Dorome" with ponzu sauce, and the subtle bitterness and sweetness were irresistibly delicious. The bonito was shockingly delicious, so I thought I would add some fatty bonito sashimi, but unfortunately they had run out of bonito that day! But I've got more opportunities to eat it next time lol I was reminded that real bonito is so delicious, but the other dishes were also delicious without any reservations. It's a great place to enjoy bonito in a relaxed atmosphere when you're feeling calm!
