五月雨に灰色の重き雲が垂れ込めて、たらちねの母と妹を連れ、妙心寺にて法事を執り行う。帰り際、塔頭の退蔵院に花見に寄るも、今年は藤も躑躅もあまり花をつけず見応えが無い、ただ衣笠山の新緑だけが色濃く映える。
境内の石畳を踏みしめ、北門を出て直ぐのこちらでお昼を頂く。こちらは創業八十年、三代目が「京の味を心で創る」と想いを込めて腕を振るう京料理の老舗、仕出し屋としても名を馳せる。名物は近くの双ヶ丘の麓に草庵を結んだ吉田兼好の徒然草にちなんだ「つれづれ弁当」。
しかし、今日はお昼限定の「四季の昼御膳」天ぷら付の菊(3300円)をお願いする。お茶を頂きながらお料理をしばし待つ、箸袋に目をやるとお店を中心に周辺絵図になっていてとてもお洒落だ。間もなく、黒塗りの松花堂弁当がやって来た、中は七つに仕切られ、綺麗に盛り付けられている。
上段左にお造り、本鮪と黒鯛に金魚草が添えられ映える、右隣は蛍烏賊のぬた和え。
中段には左から小芋、蒟蒻、蕗の煮物に生麩が飾られている、次が白魚の玉子炒り、右端が筍と海老の煮物。
下段は、左端が水菓子のわらび餅と青梅、右側に出汁巻き、鮭塩焼き、蓮根、菜の花、若さぎの甘露煮。
お造りは新鮮でプリっとしていて美味しい、煮付けはどれも出汁が良く効いていて、蕗、筍、菜の花と、旬の素材の味が良く引き立てられている、中でも蒟蒻は絶品。出汁巻きや甘露煮も上品な味わいで実に美味しい。
天ぷらは、海老、おくら、茄子、椎茸、長芋、白身魚。どれもからっと揚がっていて、天つゆで美味しく頂く。
お吸い物や香の物までも、作り手の心が込められていて素晴らしい、最後まで美味しく頂いた。ボリュームもあってお腹一杯に。季節感溢れる厳選した旬の素材を使って、綺麗に彩られた素敵なご膳でした、ご馳走様です。次回は、「つれづれ弁当」を楽しみにまた伺いたい。
