噂でしか聞いたことのない幻の（？）「にいがた地鳥」が食べられるというのでいってきました。
イタリア軒の道路へだてた向かいにある、いい感じにひなびた感の漂う外観。
期待が高まります。
さて、店内に入るとこれまた期待を裏切らない、いい感じに庶民的でありながら、創業70年
以上（！）という歴史と風格もあり、さらに期待度↑。
にいがた地鳥のポスターも店内にでかでかと貼られ、迷うことなく3本500円の地鳥セットを注文！
とうとう来ました、これが「あの」にいがた地鳥！！ということでパクつくと・・・、ん？ちょっとくさいか
な？相方に言わせると「血の匂いがする」と。。
血の匂いかどうかは分かりませんが、確かにちょっと、、、うーん、という感じでがっかり。
気をとりなおして、「普通」の焼きとり6本セットを食す（こちらはタレ）。
タレのおかげなのか、鳥自体のおかげなのか、こっちの方が臭くもなく、正直おいしかったです。
地鳥自体の味は悪くないため、ただただ新鮮でないのかな、あの臭さが残念です。
塩で頼んだので余計だったのかもしれませんが。
本当は雑炊まで行きたかったのですが、断念して帰途へ。
ちょっと残念な結果でしたが、店内雰囲気は思い描いていた通りでしたので、古町を堪能したい
