なかなか珍しい、メキシコ料理とワインのペアリングが楽しめるというお店。去年知人が紹介していて気になっており、やっと訪問。
お店は銀座一丁目が最寄りだけど、この辺なので銀座でも有楽町でも京橋でも5分とかからず着ける。
道路に面した部分がほとんどガラス張りになっていて上級者っぽい。店内は木の温かみがありながらもどこかシックでおしゃれ感漂う。手前にテーブル席が何卓かと、奥にはバーに面したカウンター席も。
初訪問だったのでカジュアルコースをお願いしました。この日の内容は以下のとおり。
本マグロ 黒のアグアチレ
仔羊のケサビリア
鴨肉のロースト
帆立と蕪のメキシコ風炊き込みごはん
正直メニューを見ても「？？？」となってしまうくらいメキシコ料理に疎いので、何が出てくるか実際見るまで全然わからない(笑)
トップはメインの鴨肉！たっぷりと添えられていたのはハイビスカスが使われたソースで、甘酸っぱさが絶妙。赤ワインのソースでも重すぎなく爽やかにいただけた。
マグロはいわゆる漬けにされた状態。サイドのアボカドと一緒にいただくと◎。ソースはなんだったか忘れてしまったけどさっぱりめ、オリーブの香りが良かった気がする。
ケサビリアがいわゆるタコス。やっと知ってるメニューに出会った！中は羊肉で、チーズもたっぷり。レモンではなくライムが添えてあるのがなんか現地っぽい(笑) 後ろにある小鉢はスープとしていただいてもよし、ケサビリアをディップしてもよしとのことだったが、なんか出汁薄めのスープってかんじで、わたしはうまく使いこなせなかった.........
最後の炊き込みごはんがいちばんおいしかったかな！ごはんというよりはリゾットに近い。よく見ると上に揚げたバナナがトッピングされてるの！！これが意外としょっぱいものに合う。
このときはコースが4品だったのと、ポーションがご覧のとおり少なめなのもあって、正直全然お腹は満たされなかった..........あとメキシカンでは避けて通れないパクチー問題..........
ただワインのペアリングはかなり良かったと思う！お店にいらしたソムリエさんのセンスが素敵でした。
ふつうの食事に飽きてしまった人や物珍しいお店が好きな人を連れて行ったら喜ばれそうだな〜
