定期的に友人と美味しい店を食べにいく、いつものやつ。映画好きなので、友人も僕もよく日比谷のミッドタウンにいくんだけど、奥まったところにレストランやバーがあるんですね。知らなかった。Restaurant TOYO Tokyo。東京ミッドタウン日比谷3階にあるカウンターフレンチレストラン。高田賢三氏の専属料理人だった中山豊光シェフのRestaurant TOYO Parisの日本進出のお店。お互い忙しいので２−３ヶ月に一度だけれども、いろいろお店を回るのだが、友人と食べる美味しいものは、本当にクオリティオブライフが上がる。特に利害関係のない友人と、こうして会話できる時間を積み重ねられるのは、幸せだ。
味は、繊細なモダンフレンチ。とはいえ、和食のテイストも感じる。アミューズブシェ・前菜2品・魚料理・肉料理・デザート/カフェ（僕はエスプレッソ）。魚料理は、鱒をのりでまいたやつが美味しかった。前菜の穴子のプリプリ感の歯応えは、最高だった。宮崎高千穂牛の赤ワインソースとアスパラガスで、アスパラガスの肉厚が、グッとくる。ドリンクはペアリングで頼んだのだが、これが素晴らしかった。7 glass 税別8500円〜かな。説明がいい感じで、こういうのは、うまく説明してもらえると気持ちが上がる。あとすぐ近くのSTAR BARでもしこたま飲んだのに、次の日二日酔いゼロだった。ワインは、弱い上に、シャンパン、白、日本酒（生酒）、赤、デザートワインといろいろかなり飲んだのに。さすが、良い酒は、いい。最初は、ビルカール・サルモン（BILLECART SALMON）のシャンパン。備前雄町生原酒もうまかったー。いきなりアルコール度数が高くて、オーという飲みごたえ。あとは、スペイン産の赤のフルボディーの1921がめちゃくちゃ美味かった。お肉とあうあう。樹齢100年を超えるガルナチャ100％の希少ワイン。料理よりも、お酒がおいしくて、そちらばかり記憶に強く残っている。
